My Approach to Art Therapy & Psychotherapy
"Life is the art of drawing without an eraser.” ~John W. Gardner
I work with each person who comes to see me individually to create a plan to meet the unique needs of that person. We all have the ability to live fulfilling lives and I am passionate about supporting people of all ages on their journey. I take a holistic approach when working with individuals, allowing each person to integrate art making, conversation, and mind-body therapies into their healing process. Through art therapy and mindfulness practices you will have the opportunity to share your story, regain control of your life, and become a healthier and happier YOU.
Expressing yourself, your experiences, and building upon your strengths can increase your quality of life and help make the challenges easier to face. It is not important to have had previous art experience. Art therapy gives individuals the chance to explore and express one's self and his or her experiences in new and creative ways. Working together the art making and creative process will become a tool to help you share your story, create change and transformation, and gain newfound acceptance.
